Hygiene Measures

Due to the Covid19 pandemic


From Thursday, 2 September 2021 – if the local 7-day incidence is above 35 – the 3G rule will apply to a visit to our sights, i.e. all visitors must either be vaccinated against Covid-19 (*), recovered from Covid-19 or test negative. PCR test (maximum 48 hours old), rapid antigen test / self-test under supervision (maximum 24 hours old). You must bring appropriate proof (written or electronic) (no tests are offered in our houses) as well as a valid ID (identity card, passport or driver's license).

Children under the age of 6, pupils who are subject to regular testing as part of school operations and children who have not yet started school are considered to be tested persons. Detailed answers to your questions can be found on the website of the state government​​​​​​​.

(*) The following vaccines are currently licensed in the EU: BioNTech/ Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson. If you have received a different vaccine, you will also need a test!


Compulsory wearing of face masks

All visitors must wear mouth and nose masks. We ask for your understanding, that we can not grant you access without a mouth and nose mask. Children under 7 years of age do not have to wear a mouth and nose mask. 

Social distance

Please keep the usual distance of 1.5 metres from other guests. Avoid forming groups!

Hand desinfection

Hand desinfection dispensers can be found at the main entrance, in the toilet area and in the museum shop. 

Cashless payment

We ask you to pay as cashless as possible. But of course, you still have the option to pay with cash. 


Our audio-guides are enclosed with a protection cover that is renewed after each guest. Of course all audio-guides are additionally wiped with desinfection after each use, too. 

Limited number of visitors

Due to the national hygiene guidelines, only a limited number of guests is allowed to stay in the exhibition rooms at the same time. Therefore there may be occasional waiting times at the cash desk. We ask for your understanding. 

Guided tours

Guided tours through the exhibition rooms are only possible with groups up to a number of 10 people. Of course it is also possible to guide several groups through the exhibition at intervals of 10 minutes. 


Please understand that we can only grant you access to our Museumshop with a valid Museum entrance ticket.

In order to reconstruct possible infection chains, we are obliged to ask each guest for a valid contact address. We kindly ask you to fill out the appropriate form (name, postal address or email address or telephone number) or leave your business card at the cash desk.
