General Terms and Conditions of

The following terms and conditions of use apply from 10th April 2025 for the use of our sanitary facilities and the redemption of the vouchers:

1.    Use of the sanitary area

1.1.    To enter the sanitary area, pay the amount shown there (currently EUR 1.00) for the use of the sanitary facilities at the pay machine of the access system. After that, you can pass through the access system and use the sanitary facilities. 
1.2.    Children up to a height of 1.40 cm have free access and can go through the turnstile together with their parents.
1.3.    For people with disabilities and parents with infants, a separate toilet and changing table are available. Access is free with the EU key accessible to physically disabled visitors. If a guest with a disability does not have his/her key with him or comes from a non-EU country, it is possible to get the key from our cleaning staff or if they are not present due to a break or similar, the key can be obtained at the tourist information, which is located directly next to the toilet. The same applies to visitors who want to use the changing table.
1.4.    Guests of the restaurant Dorfwirt are welcome to use the toilets free of charge. Please contact our staff if needed.

2.    Value voucher

2.1.    Each paying customer receives a voucher of EUR 1.00 (voucher) during the payment process. The voucher can be credited to consumption food or to purchase goods in

•    the Restaurant Café Kainz, Alpseestr. 5, 87645 Hohenschwangau;
•    the shop in the Museum of the Bavarian Kings, Alpseestr. 27, 87645 Hohenschwangau; 
•    the shop at Hohenschwangau Castle, Alpseestr. 30, 87645 Hohenschwangau.
•    the shop Heimatladen in the Dorfwirt
•    To-Go-Restaurant in the Dorfwirt
•    Restaurant in the Dorfwirt
     Alpseestr. 15, 87645 Hohenschwangau

2.2.    The minimum amount on the receipt that entitles the holder to redeem the voucher is EUR 10.00 per person. 
2.3.    When the voucher is redeemed, it is collected by the point of sale (cash register). 
2.4.    The voucher cannot be credited to price-controlled items (e.g. books from our museum and castle shop, newspapers and magazines).
2.5.    Cash payments are not possible.
2.6.    The voucher is valid within the calendar year in which it was issued and in the three following years (statutory limitation period).

3.    Other

3.1.    We ask for your understanding that we reserve the right to check the voucher in the event of suspected misuse or counterfeiting. In the event of misuse, forgery or reasonable suspicion of this, vouchers can be confiscated.
