The shuttle-bus is unsuitable for disabled visitors and physically handicapped people, since the path from the »Jugend/Marienbrücke« (Mary's bridge) down to the Neuschwanstein castle is very steep.

Walking distance from the »Jugend/Marienbrücke« (Mary's bridge) to the entrance of Neuschwanstein castle is approx. 2000 ft, or 10 minutes by foot.

Shuttle-busses only operate in suitable weather (no snow or ice).

Dogs are not allowed on the shuttle-bus.

The transportation-companies are private. The shuttle-bus and the horse-carriages run independently of your entrance-time at the castle and don't guarantee to be in time at your desired tour. Transport is also possible without a ticket for the castle.

You pay the travel cost directly at the shuttle-bus or at the horse-carriage.

Notice: The transportation to the castle by horse carriage or by shuttle-bus can not  be reserved.

You can also reach the Royal Castles by foot, just follow the signs.

Approximate walking time from the Ticket-Center to:

• Hohenschwangau Castle 20 minutes
• Neuschwanstein Castle 40 minutes
